Consultations are required with custom units. Before booking the service book a consultation first. Custom unit appointments will not be approved without a consultation. Please note we work better with our brand of hair. We don't make wigs with pack hair or install wigs brought in from a beauty supply store. We stand by our quality of work and wouldn't want to compromise the quality of our work base off a choice of hair. We don't mind  clients bringing in their own choice of hair. we just recommend bringing in top quality bundles or wigs from virgin hair suppliers. If youre unsure if the hair you already have for a upcoming appointment, please book a consultations so the stylist and assess and approve.

Did you know that If a person requires a "cranial hair prosthesis" while undergoing alopecia or cancer-related therapy they may be eligible for reimbursement under their health insurance plan? Insurance Companies are realizing more and more that a cranial hair prosthesis is a necessity for those suffering with alopecia or undergoing cancer treatments. If you need to wear a wig because of medical reasons like alopecia or cancer-related therapy then the "wig" should be called a "cranial hair prosthesis" particularly for insurance purposes. If you file an insurance claim for reimbursement for a "wig" instead of a "cranial hair prosthesis" you will very likely be turned down. Most insurance companies cover between 80% to 100% of a cranial hair prosthesis

What is Cranial Prosthesis?

Cranial prosthesis is a custom-made wig specifically designed for patients who have lost their hair as a result of medical conditions or treatments, such as alopecia aerate, alopecia totalis, trichotillomania, chemotherapy, or any other clinical disease or treatment resulting in hair loss. The terminology is used when applying for medical insurance or tax deduction status.

How Do I Submit My Claim?
  • Most insurance policies cover “Prescribed Cranial Prosthesis” but do not cover wigs.

  • Insurance companies cover the cost under procedure codes S8095 and A9282

  • Get a letter and/or prescription from your doctor or dermatologist.

  • Make sure that the letter or prescription is for “Prescribed Cranial Prosthesis”

  • It should not say wig-if it does, have it redone, otherwise your claim will most likely be refused.

  • Have a receipt from the company you purchased the Cranial Prosthesis. Make sure it says “Prescribed Cranial Prosthesis.”

  • Have the physician sign off on the insurance claim form.

If Denied, How Do I Apply For Appeal?
  • Know your rights as the insured party.

  • Obtain a copy of your FULL contract with your carrier (most people only have a “Summary of Benefits” provided by the employer).

  • Read and know your contract.

  • Pay attention to the “exclusions” Wigs are excluded for cosmetics reasons.
